We celebrate the end of the first week back after half term by welcoming Threlkeld CE Primary School to the Trust as our 10th school!
Threlkeld CE Primary School officially joined on the 1st of June and have spent their first week as a Good Shepherd school enjoying a residential adventure.
Nick Turley Threlkeld’s headteacher said of his first week, 'What a busy first week as part of the Good Shepherd! I accompanied Years 5/6 on their residential trip to the Robinwood Centre in Alston. The pupils loved taking part in fourteen amazing outward-bound activities, ranging from canoeing to trapeze!
It was great to receive so much positive feedback from the centre staff about the positive attitude and behaviour of our pupils. Our Class One and Two pupils have also enjoyed great trips out of school too this week.
Our school is looking forward to working with the Good Shepherd over the next half term and in the future'
Our CEO Claire Render welcomed Threlkeld with this message: ‘At the Good Shepherd Trust we are delighted that Threlkeld School joined our family of schools on the 1st June.
We look forward to working with the whole school community over the coming years.
We extend a very warm welcome to pupils, staff, Local Governing Body members, parents and carers.’
Threlkeld is a village school in the shadow of Blencathra, it offers nursery provision and is always a hub of activity.
