This week's Wellbeing Blog looks ahead to managing all that the coming term has to offer.
Welcome back to the Summer term! I hope you all managed to find some space and time to rest and renew over the Easter break in order to have the energy to embrace the final third of the school year.
This week’s briefing includes a link to the Summer term Mental health and Wellbeing Calendar, created by the Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families and Mentally Healthy Schools.
The calendar features key dates coming up over the Summer term, such as Mental Health Awareness Week and International Children’s Day, and likewise, includes suggestions and activities for a range of themes such as loneliness, anxiety and transition, which are relevant for children moving onto new schools, classes and stages in their lives after what has been several years of extraordinary disruption.
The materials and resources are set out for both primary and secondary aged pupils; as such, the calendar is of value for children across all age groups.
Please find a link to the calendar here
