Want to be part of something special, with the opportunity to make a real impact?
Are you a purpose-led People Professional, with a passion for education?
About The Good Shepherd Trust
The Good Shepherd Trust is a community of schools supported by a dedicated central team, united by a shared belief that every child should have access to an excellent education, regardless of background. We believe that education goes beyond academic achievement, and we’re committed to helping every pupil reach their full potential and embrace life in all its fullness.
We’re investing in our central team and this is one of our new roles with a fantastic opportunity to drive forward our People and Culture agenda in a supportive and welcoming environment. Joining our collaborative central team, this is a great opportunity to feel part of a small but highly driven group of colleagues, dedicated to continual improvement and offering a support service for our school members that is second to none. You’ll also be part of a wider network of education leaders as part of the Diocese of Carlisle and have access to all the benefits this brings.
What we’re looking for
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our purpose-driven organisation, at a time of growth and strategic development.
This role will place you at the heart of the Good Shepherd Trust’s supportive central team, where you will deliver a proactive, effective and efficient day to day People service across a range of HR areas. Reporting to the Chief Executive, you’ll need to be delivery focussed and can easily adapt between both strategic and operational service delivery. There’s some exciting work to do to focus our people priorities to help us deliver our new strategic vision and offer.
You will be passionate about your profession and have a natural coaching style with a service-led approach, putting our head teachers and schools first. Providing a central contact point for schools across the trust, liaising with the trust’s HR service provider as well as other external bodies, you will need a track record of successfully supporting Leaders at all levels as a true business partner.
We’re looking for someone who is committed to their own CPD and either CIPD qualified or working towards it.
